End of Season Event

Come out and help celebrate the end of the first ever Tacoma Unified Soccer Season. We will be hanging out and enjoying the afternoon at Pacific Sports Center at 1:00pm. The day will include pizza and drinks and some friendly competition. Hope to see everyone there!

Evergreen Young Athletes

Evergreen elementary held a Young Athletes exhibition on Friday, May 31 for 45 kindergartners! A big thank you to all of our volunteers and school staff for making it possible!

Memorial Day Weekend

Tacoma Unified Teams are taking a well deserved break this weekend! See the teams back in action next weekend as they compete in Summer Games on Joint Base Lewis McChord!

May 31-June 2, Special Olympics Washington is taking over Joint Base Lewis McChord! Come out and support as athletes participate in swimming, soccer, track and field, powerlifting and cycling, proving that in sports, there are no boundaries!

While Saturday brought some rain, it was still a great day to close out the regular season of the Tacoma Soccer League!

Skyline Elementary Young Athletes

We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to get these Young Athletes outside and ready to play! With about 35 participants, Skyline Elementary students were introduced to the world of Special Olympics and Unified Sports.

Young Athletes

Tomorrow Skyline Elementary School students will get the chance to participate in Young Athletes! Come by and witness an introductory to Unified Sports and Inclusion at the school level at 9:30am! To bring Young Athletes to your school, contact Taylor Morgan at tmorgan@sowa.org.

Last League Play Date

This Saturday, May 18, is the last league play date our teams have before heading off to Joint Base Lewis McChord to compete in Summer Games! Come out and show your support for our amazing athletes and partners! Games begin at 9:00am at Lincoln Bowl. See you there!

Saturday brought out an enthusiastic group of players and volunteers alike! We welcomed Federal Way into the league play and watched as our athletes and partners took on a group of Army volunteers during an exhibition match.

Be sure to follow what is going on in the world of Unified Soccer as Team USA (made up of athletes from Washington and Oregon) compete for a spot to compete in the Unified World Cup in Rio! Go USA!!

April 13th marked a first for the Tacoma area. The first annual Tacoma Unified Soccer League kicked off at Mount Tahoma High School with four local high school teams competing against each other! A special thank you to everyone who made the event happen: Tacoma Public Schools, Pacific Sports Center/Tacoma Stars and all of our volunteers! Looking forward to a great season.
